Growersbuzz Mission Statement

Mission statement:

As an organization, we at the Growersbuzz make it our mission to promote knowledge and acceptance of cannabis in all its forms and to facilitate the exciting trends we now recognize that are helping shape our industry.

Trends:

Acceptance

If there’s one trend in today’s cannabis market observed here at the Growersbuzz, that trend is acceptance. While cannabis remains prohibited at the Federal level, the majority of states in the U.S. have implemented some form of legal cannabis. Legalization at the state level continues and is fueling an overwhelming movement toward acceptance. The broad acceptance of cannabis is welcomed by so many in our society as we’ve all suffered under a regime of prohibition and its many negative consequences. Most of us for our entire lives.

Quality in Branding

With acceptance, we also see branding becoming a leading trend in the industry. We see brands evolving by packaging and advertising their products in more creative ways. We see brand loyalty developing as we see stronger brands become established. We think with this trend we’ll begin to notice strong brand loyalties develop in consumers, with consumers happy to show off their taste preferences. Branding and packaging excellence to date has been the exception and a differentiator of cannabis products. We are moving in a direction in which branding and packaging excellence are expected.

Women in Cannabis

We are also witnessing the increasing involvement of women in the cannabis space. Women are becoming involved as consumers, advocates, entrepreneurs, and investors. As women continue to take a growing share of the spotlight they make room for and provide support to those who follow. This trend has unmistakable implications for product demand and thus product development. For example, we are seeing a rise in demand among women for discrete items such as edibles, vape pens and cartridges and convenience items such as pre-rolled joints.

Free Flow of Information

As cannabis prohibition is lifted across the U.S. more information will be sought and in turn more folks will step up to share their expertise. We believe people will increasingly feel comfortable seeking out information in conventional sources such as online. We also believe that with this increase in demand for open information will come authors and product experts willing to step forward and share knowledge. With this give-and-take of information we’ll see a strong community network continue to evolve.

Diverse Consumers and Product Offerings

Early cannabis product offerings served the traditional cannabis consumer. This was due in part to very little being known about the consumer. With legal sales occurring across the U.S. for several years now, information is emerging about consumer preferences and product trends. The market is recognizing the presence of the casual consumer who may desire lower potency experiences. It’s also recognized that women, for instance, tend to experiment with more a more diverse product mix such as beverages, tinctures, sublinguals, and topicals. We also believe that as cannabis becomes more mainstream, we’ll witness a continuing trend towards non-smoking modalities of cannabis consumption.
